 John Doe


A man was found on the street, and taken to hospital. He was unable to tell the doctor who he is, or where he lived, but has he really lost his memory? Doctor didn't know his name, so he came to be called John Doe by doctors. The doctor tried to find out what he was, but he didn't answer the doctor's questions. Then the doctor will know important facts about John Doe after he discharged.

 The Signalman and The Ghost at the Trial The two stories in this book are ghost stories.  The Signalman is about railway. The man who likes railway listened the story that a fatal accident happen when you see a figure near the tunnel from the signalman. Actually, an accident happened a year and a half year ago before he saw a figure. Moreover, he said he saw a new figure again... The story, The Ghost at the Trial, was first called 'A Trial Murder'. The story is about a trial in famous law court in London - the Old Bailey. Often, George Fotherley looks out of the window of his sitting-room. There are always people in the street outside his apartment. One day, two man walking fast attracted his eye through the window of the room. They stopped in front of the Fotherley's house, looked up at the window, stared at Fortherley, and walked away again. Later, Fotherley is elected as a jury of a murder trial.
