The Last Leaf and Other Stories This book has four stories. "A GOOD BURGLAR", There is a man who had been in prison for nine months. He wanted to get out of the prison. One day, he was given a pardon and said "Tomorrow, you'll be free." by the government. Then he turns over a new leaf by meeting Annabel Adams. "THE LAST LEAF". In December, it was very cold in New York. Many people in the city became ill. The illness called pneumonia. Johnsy also had that. She was very sad, and lost the will to live. Johnsy said, "There are only five leaves on the vine now, the last leaf will fall soon and then I'll die." However, the last one didn't fall easily, so she regain the will to live.
